Post Op

Well, here she is 36 hours post op. The ear is dirty looking, but that's due to dried blood, but we're not going  to fuss just yet in order for any swelling and tenderness to reduce.

Due to the nature of the ear and the location of the sites stitching was not an option. As you can see by the photo, things look raw, but rather looking raw for 10 - 14 days than a complete amputation of the ear structure. Until this I never knew the little out flap of a dog's ear was called 'Harry's Purse'? How bizarre.

But today Darcy is brighter and not fussing with her ear, and as the photo below shows, she can still turn on the cutsie charm :)

Glad to hear your pooch is on the mend. You, sir, have an award to pick up over at The Armchair Squid.

Thank you kind Sir - I shall be over later in the evening. Very much appreciate your kind words regarding our beloved pooch.

As an aside, I made myself do a double-take on reading your words, and I quickly scanned it and laughed when I thought you'd typed, 'You, sir, are an awkward prick...' - don't ask, just my mind's predictive text app going squiffy.

She is adorable. Ah, those puppy dog eyes. That titled head.

Chap. Can't seem to get you on FB to reply to the message you sent me earlier this week. In response, not a problem. Give me a text and I'll wander by sometime and we will carouse into the early hours. Or maybe just sing a bit.

Hey buddy, that will be amazing :) thank you !

As for FaceBook, I've deleted my account due to it's invasive nature - don't like or appreciate being 'spied' on each time I looked at something or liked something. No more FB for moi.

Righto. ping me a text and we'll sort something out for this week.

How's Darcy, Mark?

Doing well, thank you Debs. Ear has healed nicely, and the cancer specialist on Cambridge has given her the all clear... for now. We just have to keep monitoring her for new lumps and bumps.

But dogs live in the moment, so she's oblivious to everything and enjoying life each day as it comes.

Thank you so much for asking :)

Hahahaha!

So sorry I didn't get around to read this until just now. It's a good week for a good laugh, though.
