Blade Runner, the game

blog.screenweek.it
A little while ago a blog friend of mine, Jeremy of 'Being Retro', posted about the film, 'Blade Runner' - which just so happens to be one of my all time favourite films to date.

In a comment I posted on Jeremy's site I mentioned the Blade Runner game from 1997, produced by Westwood Studios and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. Not sure how well it sold, but I love it, and it retains much of the mystique and atmosphere of the original film. So in order to share the experience, here is a clip from said game for all you Blade Runner fans and gamers reading this.

And apologies for the poor quality, but back in 1997 video graphics weren't as high in resolution as they are now.

Nice! I found you through Jeremy's site. Have you seen the Blade Runner video for the old-school 8-bit type game?

Mark,
I wanted to thank you to for your comment the other day.. it hit home on what I am doing and offering... Making my goal more of a challenge than "here it is" in my face.

Welcome, welcome to the hearth :) And great choice of Doctor by the way - Tom Baker was one of my favourites, along with Jon Pertwee.

I think you are referring to the one that was available for the Commodore64 by chance? If so, yes, I played that one too.

No problem my friend - like I said, anything I can do, just ask ;)

No figures that I know of? But then, have you tried the Forbidden Planet website?

Have you read 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?', Mark? That's one of my all-time favourite. The film is pretty cool, too.

Oh yes, love the story - even listened to the radio dramatisation of said book. Fantastic!
