Double the Fun: Big Bang and D&D

When I saw this episode on tv the other evening it had me in fits of laughter on several levels. Not only is it one of my favourite American comedy shows, 'The Big Bang Theory', but has the cast sitting down to an evening's Dungeons & Dragons session, GM'd (Game Mastered) by Howard Wolowitz a.k.a. actor Simon Helberg.

During the session, Wolowitz provides voices for various NPCs that the players encounter, and the clip below is just that. Actor Simon Helberg shows an amazing talent for voice impersonation as well as being funny to boot. So, for all you D&D and Big Bang fans, sit back and enjoy the moment :)

I gave Howard my lunch money... it's a great episode as for the season, it's worthy...

I watched that episode. He's amazing with the voices. When I DM'ed, I never put forth that much effort. (Although I can do a mean Bullwinkle.)

Definitely on the money :)

That's the only thing about 'voicing' NPCs, you really do need a great repertoire and avoid the cliché 'Oo-arr, me dear' type voices.

I seemed to excel at irritating and creepy... not sure if that's a good thing, though?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Still funny no matter how many times I see it! LOVE that show!

Nice to meet you. Jeremy thinks you're the cats pajamas so I had to come visit.

Don't tell him I said that. :.)

Cats wear pyjamas?! :) Well, he's a pretty cool dude and wicked designer (so envious) - thank you for coming along, so nice to meet you too. You know what this means, don't you? I'm going to be sliding over to your blog as soon as this is posted.

Hi Mark!

I wanted to leave you a comment here because I wasn't sure you would come back to check my comments over there.

Thank you.

You wrote such a nice comment on my IWSG post today.

I really like what you said. It really struck a chord with me because I'm not at peace with myself and that does sound like something I should be.

I'm going to work on that.

Thanks again.
