Happy, happy!

Today I started my first day in a full-time job, after chasing so, so many with nothing to show for my efforts but frustration, rejection and disappointment.

Granted, it's not my 'career path' or ideal job, but it's a steady monthly wage and a boost to my self respect as a human being. Maybe now my mind can relax and once again return to being creative enough to begin writing, sketching and every other pleasurable past time I've shut down due to feelings of guilt, stress and worry.

Happy days folks - another plus we've sold our house!
It would seem things are beginning to pull together. Tomorrow I go to see a knee surgeon about the two tears in my right meniscus and set a date for surgery.

Ultimately things are looking better each day. I've also a long term plan I've set into motion, but have yet to reveal.

Today has been a day spent in a room full of bods like myself, all goggle-eyed at a tv screen watching health and safety videos and enduring laborious induction talks and sitting little, yet numerous tests. So I'm now off to my garage to put my body through some physical exercise, listen to my favourite tunes whilst doing so and work up a major sweat.

A very big thank you to those of you who have kept up the positive vibes and encouragement, it's paying off.

And so I leave you with one of my ultimate 'happy tunes' - listen, enjoy and join me in my happy dance :)

Yes, indeed they are. Sadly my sports massage isn't able to support me any longer, and after 7 years of practice it's time for a change. Really appreciate you stopping by :)

Thank you, Debs. At last I can shake off the shackles of guilt that have stymied my desire to write. Onwards and upwards. Always an honour to have you drop by and post - thanks again, Debs :)

Congrats on the job and the house. And good luck with the surgery. I've had two. Although I'm still having trouble because of bone loss in addition to the tears, the surgeries did help with the more intense pain.

You're young. You'll do great!

I know how you feel, my left knee has been done over a year ago, and it still gives me problems. I think, to be honest, that knee surgery is a slippery road at best and if you come away from it without further complications you should thank your lucky stars (and the skill of the surgeon).

Appreciate you dropping by, Maria, it's always a pleasure to have you drop in :)

Cheers, Mina. It isn't a 'perfect' job, but then again, so few of us with jobs ever have the 'perfect job'. But it is a steady wage. I can live again!
