Friday Morn.

 

Half-light, half-gloom
Half-awake,
the bedroom.

Gentle sizzle-sounding rain
against the window pane.

Sighing wind foretells the day,
no matter what, 
you can't stay.

Up and moving,
stretching, yawning,
look outside,
greet the morning.

No matter what, 
no matter how,
procrastination
is not for now.

Seconds and minutes,
the arms tick by,
your day awaits.
