Eurythmics - Day 5 of A-Z

Keeping it short 'n' sweet for this post. Basically feeling guilty for boring the stuffing out of folks with my verbal diarrhoea (funny that there are several ways of spelling this loose term!?). So for today's A-Z pleasure, I've nominated to post for your listening, and viewing delight, a song from my youth by a popular duo known as 'The Eurythmics'.

This song was released in 1985 - the year I turned 21, and was working as a Sports Centre Attendant in an area of Cardiff called Splott (think splat, but pronounced with an 'o', although some folks with delusions of grandeur like to pronounce it as 'Splow' - as in 'blow'. Don't even ask how they get to that!?), and it was the year I hitch-hiked down to Marseille in France to join the Légion étrangérè... but that's another story for another time--maybe.

Can't say I've ever heard of this one before.

Well, Jojo, I have to assume you are quite a bit younger than myself? Tis a brilliant tune, and comes from a time when life seemed so much simpler ;)

Same here, especially of my first ever car - a 1970 Ford Capri. I so loved that car :)

Thanks for the blast from the past. Also, I love your new icon, the dragon eye. I saw it staring at me from my blog this morning as I was making some changes... Very cool.

So pleased this tune has brightened up the moment for people. I'll be introducing you to some of my other tastes in music further intothe alphabet ;)

I have a confession - it's a cat's eye that I played with in Photoshop... but for you, it's a dragon ;)

One of the very best bands to come out of the 80's. Awesome post and happy A-Z blogging.

We're all guilty of the verbal diarrhea this month. I've never posted or commented so much in my life.

Nice to meet you and I hope you're enjoying the Challenge!

My boyfriend of the time's first car was a capri. I thought it was the coolest thing ever :-)

*sigh* such great times... when filling up your car didn't require a second mortgage.
